I am expecting a tough game against Central African Republic – Otto Addo

Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, is bracing himself for a challenging encounter against the Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Flashing back on Ghana’s comeback victory against Mali last Thursday, Addo stressed the formidable test awaiting his team against CAR.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s fixture, Addo acknowledged the strength of the opposition.

“It’s going to be very difficult. For anyone expecting an easy match, I’m afraid it won’t be the case,” he said.

He pointed out CAR’s prowess, particularly in offensive transitions, highlighting their threat as demonstrated in their recent 1-1 draw with Mali.

Ghana is currently third in Group I with six points, as the Stars eyes a crucial win to bolster their bid for qualification to the prestigious global tournament.

The eagerly awaited game will be held at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday four games, with kick-off at 19:00GMT.
