Ghana coach Otto Addo has stated that he cannot wish his good friend Kwesi Appiah good luck as they prepare to face off in October for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Black Stars will play Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan in matchday three and four of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
Ghana will first host Sudan on October 7 at a venue yet to be confirmed, before travelling to the Al-Merrikh Stadium for the return leg on October 15.
Speaking about the next game with Sudan, Addo talked about his respect for the Former Black Stars Coach but stressed that he couldn’t extend well wishes to his opponent.
“We all know Kwesi Appiah—he’s a great guy, a gentleman, and a good coach. I really like him,” Addo said during a CAF seminar on Thursday.
“Normally, I would wish him all the best, but certainly not against us,” He added.
