I took Otto Addo’s words as a motivation after the Accra game – James Kwesi Appiah

Former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has opened up on his recent encounter with current Black Stars coach Otto Addo after the first leg of the AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Sudan in Accra on the 10 October, 2024.

Ghana drew a goalless draw  with Sudan in Accra before loosing 2-0 in the second leg in Libya on the 15th October, 2024.

Kwesi Appiah, who is the current Sudanese National Team coach took the Black Stars coach words as motivation for the second leg with Sudan beating Ghana 2-0 in Benghazi.

“After the game in Accra, I went to Ghana’s dressing room to exchange pleasantries with the players and technical staff. When I got there Ott Addo told me we were lucky. He also warned me that we will not be lucky in Libya,” he told the BKB Show.

“This is football. I took it as motivation, and I told my players about the encounter,” he added.
