“I Was Furious” — Karim Zito Reacts to Asante Kotoko’s Recent Form

Former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has expressed frustration over the club’s recent performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, recording only one victory in their last four matches. The Porcupine Warriors currently sit fifth on the league table with 39 points after 25 games, a position that has raised concerns among supporters.

Speaking in an interview with Akoma 87.9 FM, Zito revealed that he recently reached out to members of the team to express his disappointment and encourage them to improve.

“I even spoke to them today, and I was furious,” he said.
“I asked, ‘Why are you doing this? What is going on? Please push on. Don’t give up.’”

Despite no longer being part of the technical setup, Zito’s comments show he still closely follows the club’s progress and wants to see them return to winning ways.

His message serves as encouragement for the team as they attempt to regain momentum in the remaining matches of the season.
