Ghanaian stars are strongly represented in the nominees for the 2025/26 SPORTY LALIGA MVP, an award that recognises the best African player in LaLiga.
Leading the list is Inaki Williams of Athletic Club, who is chasing a third consecutive title after previously winning the award twice. The Black Stars forward has once again been instrumental for his side as they push for European qualification.
He is joined by Thomas Partey, who has been influential for Villarreal CF, bringing experience and control to midfield during the campaign.
Also earning recognition is Kwasi Sibo of Real Oviedo, whose consistent performances have not gone unnoticed in Spain’s top flight.
The inclusion of the three Ghanaian players highlights the growing impact of the Ghana national football team stars in European football, particularly in Spain where African talent continues to thrive.
Voting for the award opened on March 17 and will run until May 10, with the winner set to be announced in Lagos on May 23.
With strong competition across the continent, Ghana’s representatives will be aiming to make their mark and continue the country’s proud record in the prestigious award.
