Kanjaga defeated Wangara 2-1 in a thrilling Round 16 match on Monday, keeping their debut campaign alive in the third edition of the Inter Tribal Football Gala.
Goals from Dauda Mohammed and Awudu Mohammed secured a hard-fought win for Builsa, despite a consolation strike from Sadick Mohammed.
The match began with both teams creating scoring opportunities.
Kanjaga took the lead in the 10th minute through Dauda Mohammed’s exceptional finish, curling a shot from outside the penalty box.
Dauda nearly doubled the lead, but his effort was denied by the crossbar.

Wangara equalized five minutes later with a stunning strike from Sadick Mohammed, making it 1-1.
However, Kanjaga regained their lead in the 30th minute through Awudu Mohammed’s well-placed finish.
Despite Wangara’s pressure, Kanjaga maintained their lead until the final whistle.

In the second half, Wangara intensified their efforts but struggled to break through Kanjaga’s defense.
Sadick Mohammed came close, but his shot was blocked, and a subsequent effort went wide after a well-crafted move involving Armando and Mahmud Oshe.
Kanjaga’s resilient defense ensured their progression to the quarterfinals.
