Former Ghana coach, Malik Jabir has slapped Laryea Kingston following his resignation as head coach of the Black Starlets.
Kingston announced his resignation on Saturday after Ghana were beaten 2-1 in the semifinals of the WAFU B Championship, missing out on qualification for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
But Malik Jabir in an interview with Kessben FM called out Kingston for his shocking resignation as coach of the Ghana U17 team.
“It was a childish decision he took. Was he thinking of beating all countries on the continent? No. This means he is a young coach and I think he will learn going forward. Once he’s resigned, if he gets another opportunity he will learn from it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kingston disclosed that he decided to step down while the team was in Russia for the U-16 tournament, but is emotional conduct say otherwise during the press conference where he announced his resignation.
Laryea Kingston is now focus on his next job, with reports linking him to Hearts of Oak, a club he once played for.
