Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has shared his excitement after making his first appearance in the English Premier League on Monday.
The Black Stars winger played the entire game as his club drew a 1-1 against Tottenham Hotspurs at the King Power Stadium.
The 20 year old winger starred for the Foxes in the Premier League opener on home turf, setting up his outfit equalizer in the thrilling clash.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 29th minute mark through Pedro Porro as they went to the halftime break with the advantage.
However, Issahaku’s brilliant delivery just before the hour mark found Jamie Vardy for the equalizer, cancelling an early first half-half strike from the visitors.
“It was amazing making my premier league debut and a great effort from the lads. Thanks to the fans for their amazing atmosphere, come on foxes we are in this together” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The former Ghana U20 star will play a significant role in Steve Cooper’s team this season as the Foxes set sights on staying in the Premier League.
Leicester City will travel to the Craven Cottage for their second game against Fulham on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
