Jonathan Sowah Continues Strong Start After Singida Return

Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah scored his third goal in four matches since returning to Singida Black Stars, helping the club beat Tanzania Polisi FC 4-2 on Saturday, August 29.

The 27-year-old equalised in the 27th minute before Singida completed the comeback to move up to fifth place with seven points. Sowah was named Man of the Match after another impressive display.

The former Simba SC striker expressed his delight with the victory, saying the team was determined to respond after losing 2-1 at home to Simba in their previous game.

Sowah believes his goalscoring form is nothing new, insisting it is one of the qualities Singida know he possesses.

“What I can say is that it is part of me. From Singida to Simba, and I am back home again. I am so happy to be back home with what I have because what I have, it is only Singida people who understand what I have in me,” he said.

Sowah began his career with Danbort FC before joining Medeama SC, where he won the Ghana Premier League title. He later played for Al Nasr in Libya, Singida and Simba SC, and has earned three senior caps for Ghana.
