Interim head coach Asante Kotoko boss Prince Yaw Owusu has expressed strong belief in his team’s readiness ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Vision Football Club.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to host Vision FC in a Week 24 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 1, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
Kotoko go into the fixture buoyed by a convincing 2-0 victory over Young Apostles, a result that helped restore confidence within the squad after a difficult outing against rivals Hearts of Oak.
Reflecting on the team’s recent turnaround, Owusu revealed that the technical team worked hard to lift the spirits of the players following that setback.
“I think after the Hearts of Oak game everybody went down, but we had a couple of meetings to get them down, and so lucky we got them up, and we went away to get a victory,” he told AKSC Media.
With attention now fully on Vision FC, the interim coach is optimistic about securing another positive result, despite acknowledging the challenge ahead.
“So, we are ready to face Vision FC as well. It’s not going to be easy, but at the end of the day, victory will be ours,” Owusu added.
Kotoko will be aiming to build momentum with consecutive wins as they continue their campaign in the league.
