Kudus Closing In on Return After Three-Month Injury Spell

Mohammed Kudus is edging closer to a return from injury, with April emerging as a realistic target for his comeback as rehabilitation progresses steadily.

The Ghana international has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring problem during Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-1 draw against Sunderland on January 4. Initial assessments suggested he would be out for close to three months, and encouragingly, there have been no reported complications in his recovery so far.

In a bid to accelerate his rehabilitation, Kudus travelled to Amsterdam in February to consult a specialist he previously worked with during his spell at AFC Ajax. The move formed part of a carefully managed recovery plan aimed at ensuring he returns at full fitness rather than rushing back prematurely.

The 24-year-old is now working towards resuming full training shortly after the March international break. If his progress continues without setbacks, April has been pencilled in as the likely window for his return to competitive action.

Kudus absence has coincided with a turbulent stretch for Spurs, culminating in the departure of head coach Thomas Frank. Igor Tudor has since stepped in to oversee the remainder of the campaign as the club looks to steady its season.

On the international front, the setback means Kudus will miss Ghana’s upcoming friendly matches against Austria and Germany, fixtures designed to fine-tune preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
