Kwesi Nyantakyi Praises Sheikh Tophic Sienu for Unwavering Support During Difficult Times

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has expressed deep gratitude to Sheikh Tophic Sienu for providing him with unwavering psychological and emotional support during his challenging moments after the fallout from the Anas exposé.

In an interview with Hot FM, Nyantakyi revealed that Sheikh Tophic Sienu, who he later appointed as his personal aide, played a crucial role in helping him navigate his most difficult period. According to the former GFA boss, Tophic’s presence and encouragement were a source of strength.

“Sheikh Tophic was always there for me when I needed him the most. He ensured I was never left alone and accompanied me to the mosque every Friday, where I always found encouragement and peace. His support was more than I could have ever asked for,” Nyantakyi said.

Nyantakyi described Tophic’s role as pivotal, noting that his consistent presence helped him cope with the intense public scrutiny and personal challenges.

He acknowldeged that having someone like Sheikh Tophic by my side reminded me that I wasn’t alone in this battle. His dedication to ensuring my well-being—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—was truly remarkable.

Sheikh Tophic’s selfless commitment, including taking Nyantakyi to the mosque regularly, was an essential part of the healing process for the embattled football administrator. Nyantakyi’s words of gratitude underline the importance of having supportive individuals during times of crisis.
