MTN champions, Nsoatreman FC’s owner Ignatius Baffour Awuah has denied the reports claiming Maxwell Konadu left the Ghana Premier league club without communicating to the club’s hierarchy.
The 51 year old coach recently signed a three year deal with South African club Black Leopards in the second-tier league with a task to bring the team back to the Premier League.
However, Nsoatreman FC have settled on Yaw Preko to succeed Konadu last week in a two years deal which was announced on Monday, July 9, 2024.
“I want to state it clear that it’s never true Maxwell Konadu left the club without informing us. He came to me and indicated to me what his plans are, and I offer him my blessings” Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah said.
“We all desire to advance in life, so I agreed to his move. I don’t want anyone to begrudge him. There is no bad blood between Nsoatreman and Maxwell Konadu. I even gave him a task him to get us someone who can fill in the void. Today, if we have a new coach, I can tell you Maxwell Konadu was involved” he said.
Yaw Preko will lead Nsoatreman FC in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup campaign as they seek to make impact in their debut appearance.
