Medeama has so much quality just that players don’t have the hype – Francis Andy Kumi

Medeama new signing Francis Andy Kumi believes his outfit has got quality players heading into the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The former Asante Kotoko attacker swerved Hearts of Oak to join Medeama ahead of the new football season. He penned a two-year deal with the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League champions and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

The 25 year old forward was in action when Medeama defeated Asante Kotoko 2-1 in the inaugural match at the newly constructed TnA Stadium last Friday.

And speaking after the game, the striker hailed his outfit quality and depth going into the new season.

“At Medeama, there is so much quality just that players don’t have the hype” he told Kessben Fm.

The Yellow and Mauve were unable to defend the Ghana Premier League title last season having won, two seasons ago.

Medeama are currently preparing for the 2024/25 league campaign scheduled for September.

Kumi’s previous stint saw him score nine goals for Kotoku Royals in the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season before moving to Serbian side FK Radniki Nis.

Despite his team’s relegation, Kumi’s performance stood out, establishing him as the club’s top scorer.
