Nations FC Cruise Past Bechem United 3-0 in GPL Matchday 25 Opener

Nations FC produced an impressive performance to defeat Bechem United 3-0 in the opening fixture of Matchday 25 in the Ghana Premier League at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

The hosts asserted their authority early in the contest, taking control of possession and dictating the tempo as they pushed forward in search of an early breakthrough in front of their home supporters.

Their persistence paid off just eight minutes into the game when Emmanuel Annor found the back of the net with a superb strike, giving Nations FC a deserved lead.

Bechem United found it difficult to cope with the attacking intensity of the Sky Blues and were repeatedly forced onto the back foot as defensive lapses allowed the home side to create several opportunities.

Just before the break, Antwi Sarpong extended Nations FC’s advantage, finishing off a well-worked move to make it 2-0 heading into halftime.

Richard Danso later wrapped up the victory after capitalizing on a costly mistake by Bechem United goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu, calmly slotting home to complete a comfortable 3-0 triumph.

The result marks a second consecutive win for Nations FC, who climb to eighth place on the league table with 34 points. They will now shift their focus to their upcoming MTN FA Cup quarterfinal encounter against Berekum Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Bechem United’s struggles continue as they stretch their winless run to three matches, leaving them in 13th position with 30 points on the Ghana Premier League standings.
