Okrah’s Brace Not Enough as Vision FC Snatch Home Win

Matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League delivered fireworks at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Stadium, where Vision FC secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bechem United in an entertaining contest.

The visitors were the first to make their mark. In the 27th minute, experienced forward Augustine Okrah calmly finished to give Bechem United the advantage, silencing the home supporters.

Vision FC, however, wasted little time in mounting a response. Just two minutes later, Sam-an Mohammed struck from inside the penalty area to restore parity and swing the momentum back in favour of the hosts.

Buoyed by the equaliser, Vision FC pushed forward with greater intent. Their persistence paid off moments before the interval when captain Sowah Adjetey produced a composed finish to hand the home side a 2-1 lead heading into the break.

Bechem United returned for the second half determined to respond, and once again Okrah stepped up. The attacker grabbed his second of the afternoon in the 59th minute, bringing the visitors level and setting up a tense final half-hour.

But the drama was far from over. Vision FC regained control in the 63rd minute when Ibrahim Larbi found the net to restore the home side’s advantage.

The closing stages saw both teams searching for openings, yet Vision FC managed the game more effectively and held firm to secure all three points at full-time.

The victory lifts Vision FC to ninth position with 30 points ahead of a challenging encounter against Asante Kotoko SC. Bechem United, now sitting 10th on 29 points, will aim to respond positively when they welcome Karela United to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in their next fixture.
