Prince Osei Owusu Scores Again as CF Montréal Fall to Orlando City SC in MLS Clash

Ghana national football team forward Prince Osei Owusu found the back of the net for the second consecutive match in the Major League Soccer, but his effort could not prevent CF Montréal from suffering a 2-1 defeat to Orlando City SC on Saturday evening.

The Ghanaian striker equalised for the visitors in the 24th minute, rising highest to power home a header at the Inter&Co Stadium after the hosts had taken the lead earlier in the contest.

Orlando opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Duncan McGuire, before Martin Ojeda restored the home side’s advantage with a strike in the 31st minute, which eventually proved to be the winner.

Owusu’s goal was his second in four league matches this season, following his strike in Montréal’s 3-0 victory over New York Red Bulls at the Sports Illustrated Stadium last week.

The 29-year-old striker, who finished last season as Montréal’s top scorer with 13 league goals, is widely expected to be included in the squad of Otto Addo for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Germany national football team and Austria national football team later this month.

Owusu made his debut for the Black Stars in November 2025 during the Kirin Cup tournament and continues to strengthen his case for a regular place in the national team.
