GFA Referees Manager, Alexander Kotey has talked about the plans being taking for suspended referees of the just ended Premier League campaign.
According to him, any referee currently suspended will need to undergo training by Regional Fitness Instructors before they can officiate matches next season.
“Referees who are serving suspension will undergo training by our Regional Fitness Instructors before they return to officiate matches,” he said.
When reacting to the regular saying that Ghanaian referees are not good enough and lack integrity, the GFA Referees Manager said it is not true.
“We have Match Officials whose levels of integrity are very high.”
Mr. Kotey also indicated that the association is looking for opportunities for Ghanaian referees to go abroad to build their capacities.
“We are building the capacities of our referees. We are looking for more opportunities to take our referees on international training courses,” he added.
