Ghanaian winger Seth Osei has secured a new challenge in Ethiopia after completing his transfer to Welwalo Adigrat FC ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The former Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold SC attacker has agreed to a one-year deal with the Ethiopian Cup champions, with the contract containing an option for an additional year.
Osei arrives at Welwalo Adigrat after spending the 2025/26 season with Bahir Dar Kenema in the Ethiopian Premier League, where he made a strong impression following his departure from Hearts of Oak in September 2025.
The 2025/26 campaign saw the Ghanaian feature 22 times for Bahir Dar Kenema, establishing himself as one of the club’s attacking options and attracting attention from clubs within the Ethiopian top flight.
His displays eventually earned him a move to Welwalo Adigrat, who are looking to build a competitive squad for the new season.
Osei brings considerable pace and attacking versatility to his new side. His ability to take on defenders, drive forward with the ball and operate from the flanks is expected to add another dimension to Welwalo’s attack.
The Ghanaian has already been included in the club’s squad for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup qualifying campaign, meaning he could make his continental debut for the club when the qualifiers get underway next weekend.
