Slovan Bratislava sporting director Ivan Kmotrík Jr is confident Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim can continue his impressive development after the club secured his future with a long-term contract extension.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Slovakian giants until the end of the 2029/30 season, following a strong spell that has seen him establish himself as an important player for the club.
Ibrahim’s performances have also earned him recognition at international level, with the midfielder receiving his first call-up to the Ghana senior national team for the opening matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
“In addition, he was nominated for the Ghana national team for the first time in the last association deadline. That is why it was important for us to sign Rahim for a longer period,” Kmotrík Jr said.
“I am very happy that we have agreed to extend the contract and we believe that Rahim will show many more good moments in our jersey and will continue to improve, because his potential is enormous,” he added.
Ibrahim has made 13 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring twice, and Slovan Bratislava will now hope he can build on his progress and deliver more influential performances after committing his long-term future to the club.
