Former Jonina Football Academy star, Thelma Baffour Atuah, has made history by winning the CAF Women’s Champions League with TP Mazembe.
The Congolese giants defeated hosts and 2022 champions ASFAR on Saturday, November 23, to become the first Central African side to claim the coveted title.
Thelma played a crucial role in TP Mazembe’s success, having assisted the team in securing the 2024 DR Congo President’s Cup, the Congolese league, and the Central African title.
Her impressive performance earned TP Mazembe a spot in the Champions League.
A former Junior Women’s National team player at the U17 and U20 levels, Thelma awaits a call-up to the senior National team, the Black Queens.
She joined TP Mazembe in the summer transfer window after helping Jonina Football Academy gain promotion to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League-Southern Zone.
