Vision FC Held to Draw by Hearts of Oak Despite Pre-Match Hype

Despite generating a wave of pre-match buzz on social media, Vision FC were unable to walk the talk as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Accra Hearts of Oak in a fiercely contested friendly encounter.

Vision FC’s online antics ahead of the game created heightened expectations among fans, with bold claims suggesting a statement win over the Phobians. However, when the action unfolded on the pitch, it was the Ghanaian giants who drew first blood.

Hearts of Oak broke the deadlock in the 38th minute through defender Kelvin Osei Asibey, who rose above his markers to head in a powerful opener, giving the Phobians a deserved lead.

But Vision FC responded almost instantly. Just three minutes later, Meschack Sowah Adjetey struck the equalizer, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to restore parity for the visitors.

Despite both sides pushing for a winner in the second half, neither team could find the breakthrough, and the match ended in a draw.

While the result was fair on the day, Hearts fans were quick to point out the irony of Vision FC’s pre-match confidence, suggesting that performance on the pitch still outweighs the hype off it.
