Ghana international Mohammed Kudus says West Ham United could only do their best after suffering defeat against Manchester City on the final day of the 2023/24 English Premier League.
The midfielder scored a sensational goal for the Hammers but it was not enough as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Kudus sensational strike against Manchester City was his eight Premier League goal and 14th across competitions.
Speaking after his side defeat, Kudus said, “It has been a long season with ups and downs but lots of lessons. I’m proud of the whole team. In today’s game, everyone game their best trying to do everything to finish off a high note. Overall, I’m really proud of the team. The manager also, even though we lost the game but the attitude was right” he said.
“We lost on a fighting spirit. We could only do our best. Thanks to the manager and everyone at the club. It’s my first season but the staff, the players, the coaches and everyone around the club really helped me to really settle in well” he added.
