FC Samartex shot-stopper Zakari Musah has been recognised for his outstanding performances after being voted Goalkeeper of the Month for January by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union.
The in-form custodian beat competition from Dreams FC’s Osman Rahman, Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, and Bechem United’s Benjamin Kwesi Asiedu, all of whom impressed during the period.
Musah played a key role in Samartex’s impressive run at the start of the year, delivering commanding displays that helped the club remain unbeaten across four league matches.
The Timber Giants secured three wins and one draw during that stretch, with the goalkeeper providing stability and assurance at the back.
His sharp reflexes, confident handling, and strong command of the penalty area proved crucial as Samartex strengthened their defensive record.
Most notably, Musah kept four consecutive clean sheets, underlining his consistency and growing importance within the squad.
The award comes with a special presentation package from the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, including branded merchandise such as a towel, water bottles, and a commemorative T-shirt, capping off a memorable month for the dependable goalkeeper.
