Heart of Lions Seek to End Winless Run Against All Blacks

Heart of Lions will be aiming to halt their recent struggles when they welcome Swedru All Blacks to the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 8, for a Ghana Premier League encounter.

The Kpando-based side have slipped down the standings after a disappointing run of results. Lions are currently 12th on the table with 30 points and have managed only two victories in their last ten league matches, a sequence that has significantly slowed their progress this season.

Head coach Bashiru Hayford will be eager to help his team regain stability and pick up important points as the campaign enters its decisive phase. Although early hopes of challenging near the top have faded, Lions will still be targeting a strong finish.

A return to their home ground could provide the spark they need. However, the Kpando Sports Stadium has not been as formidable as in previous seasons. Lions have won just two of their last six matches at the venue, drawing one and losing three.

Swedru All Blacks travel to Kpando facing their own challenges in the league. The visitors sit 14th on the table and trail Lions by just two points, keeping them firmly involved in the fight to move away from the lower end of the standings.

Recent performances have also been inconsistent for the Swedru-based side. In their last ten league fixtures, they have picked up only two wins, alongside four draws and four defeats. They head into Sunday’s match hoping to bounce back after failing to win their last two games.

Their form away from home remains another concern. All Blacks have struggled on the road this season, recording only two wins from eleven away matches while suffering eight defeats and managing a single draw.

With both teams separated by only a narrow points margin and searching for improved form, Sunday’s meeting at the Kpando Sports Stadium is expected to be a tightly contested battle for valuable league points.
