Medeama Confirm Loan Transfer of Striker Abdul Rahaman Mohammed to Ethiopia

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have confirmed that striker Abdul Rahaman Mohammed has completed a loan move to Ethiopian club Arba Minch Kenema until July 2026.

The temporary transfer is expected to offer the forward more playing opportunities as he continues his development away from the Tarkwa-based club.

Mohammed joined Medeama during the second transfer window earlier this year as a free agent after parting ways with Tanzanian outfit TRA United SC following the expiration of his contract.

Prior to his spell in Tanzania, the striker featured in the Ghana Premier League with Nsoatreman FC, where he played a part in the club’s historic triumph in the 2024 MTN FA Cup.

Despite arriving with high expectations, Mohammed has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Mauve and Yellows since completing his move to the club.

Medeama believe the loan switch to Ethiopia will allow the attacker to gain the necessary match minutes, improve his sharpness, and return better prepared to contribute to the team in the future.

The move also gives the forward the chance to test himself in the Ethiopian top flight while continuing his growth and gaining valuable experience.

The club has wished Mohammed the very best during his time with Arba Minch Kenema and remains hopeful that the loan spell will benefit both the player and Medeama when he returns.
