Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has appealed to the club’s supporters to throw their full support behind the team as the Ghana Premier League season approaches its crucial final stretch.
With just ten matches remaining in the 2025/26 campaign, the former Ghana international believes strong backing from the fans could play a key role in helping the Mauve and Yellow finish the season on a positive note.
Medeama will welcome Hohoe United to the TnA Stadium on Sunday, March 8, in their Matchday 25 fixture, with the Tarkwa-based side eager to secure maximum points in front of their home supporters.
The team heads into the encounter on the back of mixed results, having recorded one win, three draws and one defeat in their last five league outings. Tanko’s side will be aiming to rediscover their winning touch and avoid dropping valuable points at home.
Speaking ahead of the game, Tanko stressed the importance of fan support, particularly during home matches as the competition enters its decisive phase.
“Like always, we started the season together and now we are entering the last ten games. We really need their support and we hope they will come in their numbers to back the team,” he said in an interview with Medi TV.
He further emphasized that Medeama cannot afford to lose points at home if they want to achieve their objectives before the end of the campaign.
“We must make sure we do not drop points, especially in our home matches, so we are counting on the supporters to come and push the team forward,” Tanko added.
Hohoe United, on the other hand, will also be eager to pick up a positive result as they continue their fight to move away from the relegation zone, having secured two victories in their last five games.
The Matchday 25 clash between Medeama SC and Hohoe United is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm at the TnA Stadium
