Queiroz Embarks on European Tour to Assess Black Stars Ahead of World Cup

New Ghana national football team head coach Carlos Queiroz has begun a key scouting trip across Europe as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Portuguese tactician, who was unveiled in Accra last week, started his duties by observing the Ghana national football team B before travelling to Europe to continue his player assessments.

As part of the tour, Queiroz has already held discussions with senior members of the squad, including captain Jordan Ayew, as he looks to strengthen communication and unity within the team ahead of the tournament.

He is also expected to meet other established players and emerging talents, while attending matches across various European leagues to closely monitor the form of Ghanaian players.

The trip is seen as a crucial step in Queiroz’s early plans, allowing him to evaluate performances, share his tactical ideas, and build cohesion within the squad as Ghana intensifies preparations for the global showpiece.
