Kudus Rejects Surgery Option in Bid to Stay Fit for World Cup

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has reportedly declined advice from Tottenham Hotspur to undergo surgery on his latest hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old has been sidelined since January with a quad issue and recently suffered a fresh setback, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. Medical specialists are understood to have recommended surgery as the most reliable path to full recovery.

However, Kudus has chosen a more conservative rehabilitation approach, aiming to speed up his return and avoid the extended downtime that surgery could bring.

The decision is largely influenced by the looming 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the midfielder keen to remain in contention for a place in the Ghana national football team squad.

Despite his optimism, concerns remain over whether he will recover in time, leaving his World Cup participation uncertain as Ghana continues preparations for the global tournament.
