Nations FC have named experienced Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarušić as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The appointment signals the club’s ambition to secure an immediate return to the Ghana Premier League after suffering relegation to Division One League Zone Two last season.
Logarušić arrives with a wealth of experience in Ghanaian football, having previously managed King Faisal, AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko. His familiarity with the local game is expected to be a major asset as Nations FC begin life in the second tier.
The 60-year-old has also built an impressive coaching résumé across Africa, guiding clubs such as Simba SC, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, Police FC and Interclube, while also managing the national teams of Sudan, Zimbabwe and Eswatini.
Nations FC confirmed the appointment in an official statement on Monday, welcoming the Croatian to the club as preparations begin for the new campaign.
Logarušić’s most notable achievement on the international stage came in 2018 when he guided Sudan to a third-place finish at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.
He will work alongside first-team coach Johnson Smith, who was appointed earlier this week, as the club looks to assemble a strong technical team capable of challenging for promotion.
With decades of coaching experience across Africa, Europe and Asia, Logarušić now faces the task of rebuilding Nations FC and leading the Abrankese-based club back to the Ghana Premier League at the first attempt.
