Asamoah Gyan has called for stronger investment in grassroots football after being unveiled as an ambassador for Ghana’s national teams and Colts football.

The former Black Stars striker expressed gratitude to the Ghana Football Association for the recognition and pledged to continue serving Ghana football with dedication and passion.

“I am truly honoured by this recognition,” Gyan said during the unveiling ceremony in Accra.

“I want to thank the President and the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association for believing in me and entrusting me with this responsibility. Ghana football has given me everything, and I will continue to serve this country with passion and dedication,” he added.

The former Sunderland and Al Ain forward also stressed the importance of supporting young football talents across the country.

“Grassroots football is the foundation of every successful football nation. We must invest in young talents, create opportunities for them, and give them hope,” Gyan stated.

He further appealed to corporate institutions to support football development in Ghana to help secure the future of the sport.
