Croatia have become the first team in Group L to announce their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup ahead of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.ki
The European side, who will face Ghana during the group stage, confirmed a 26-man squad as preparations continue for the expanded tournament, which will feature 48 participating nations for the first time.
Ghana booked one of Africa’s automatic qualification places and were drawn into Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
The Black Stars are scheduled to open their campaign against Panama before facing England, with their final group-stage fixture set to come against Croatia.
Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić has selected an experienced squad filled with several established stars as the 2018 World Cup finalists aim for another strong run on football’s biggest stage.
Veteran midfielder Luka Modrić leads the squad once again, while other notable names include Ivan Perišić, Andrej Kramarić, Ante Budimir, Marco Pašalić, Mario Pašalić and Joško Gvardiol.

Croatia’s announcement is expected to increase anticipation ahead of the tournament, with Ghana, England and Panama all yet to reveal their final squads for the competition.
