Former Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has revealed that the club’s decision to part ways with him was based on a desire to move in a different direction rather than dissatisfaction with his work.
The experienced tactician was dismissed just a day after guiding the Phobians to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Dramani’s departure came as a surprise to many supporters after he led Hearts to 54 points in his first season, recording 13 victories and 15 draws to secure one of the club’s strongest league campaigns in recent years.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, the former Right to Dream coach disclosed that he received a message from the club’s Board of Directors shortly after the season ended, requesting both a meeting and his technical report.
“We played our game on Sunday and on Monday, I had a mail to meet the Board of Directors for a meeting demanding my technical report on Tuesday,” Dramani explained.
He noted that although technical reports are usually submitted two weeks after the end of a campaign, he honoured the request and attended the meeting.
According to Dramani, the board commended him for his efforts before informing him that the club had decided to dissolve his technical team.
“At the Board meeting they appreciated me and said the team wants to go a different and new direction and as such has decided to dissolve the technical team headed by me,” he said.
The former Black Galaxies coach joined Hearts on a two-year contract in June 2025 but leaves after just one season at the helm.
