“It Happens in Football” – Didi Dramani Unfazed by Hearts of Oak Sack

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says he holds no bitterness over his dismissal from Hearts of Oak, insisting that such decisions are part of football.

The Ghanaian coach broke his silence after the Phobians terminated his contract following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Despite securing a third-place finish and keeping Hearts in contention for the top spots throughout the campaign, the club’s hierarchy opted to end his tenure after reviewing the season.

Speaking about the decision, Dramani admitted he was surprised by the timing but stressed that he respects the club’s right to make managerial changes.

“With that, I also thanked them and left. It happens in football and I am not perturbed,” he stated.

The former FC Nordsjælland assistant coach believes the explanation given by the board was straightforward and not something worth dwelling on.

He emphasized that football clubs reserve the right to appoint and dismiss coaches whenever they deem it necessary for the club’s future.

Dramani’s exit ends a season in which Hearts finished third on the league table behind champions Medeama SC and runners-up Bibiani Gold Stars.

Attention now turns to who will replace him as Hearts of Oak begin preparations for the 2026/27 season, with supporters hoping the club can build on the progress made during the campaign.
