Despite their underwhelming performance at the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, the Ghana Futsal national team was awarded the Fair Play prize.
Despite failing to secure a win in Group A against Morocco, Zambia, and Angola, Ghana emerged with the Fair Play award.
Their struggles included a 5-2 loss to Zambia, an 8-3 defeat against Morocco, and an 11-3 loss to Angola, concluding their AFCON campaign without earning any points.
The team, also known as the Black Stars, conceded 24 goals and scored eight in their three group matches.
Now back in Ghana, both the team and coaching staff will assess their performance and utilize the lessons learned to prepare for upcoming challenges.
Meanwhile, Morocco secured their third consecutive title by defeating Angola 5-1 in the finals.
