We lost concentration in the game – Kasim Mingle Ocansey

Nations FC head coach, Kassim Mingle Ocansey, has blamed a poor start for his team’s 2-0 loss to Hearts of Oak on Friday in match week 32 of the Ghana Premier League.

Nations FC’s defeat continued their poor run in the latter part of the 2023/2024 season, with the team managing just one win in their last seven league games.

They have recorded two draws and four losses during this period, currently ranking fourth in the league.

Hearts of Oak secured the victory with early goals from Kassim Cisse who scored from a close range in the 10th minutes and Hamza Issah who converted a brilliant goal in the 15th minutes.

“It’s unfortunate we lost. We conceded two quick goals; that’s what happened. After we conceded the goals, our boys started playing well” Kassim Mingle said after the game.

“They lost focus at the start, conceded two quick goals, and only after that did they wake up and start playing. Unfortunately, we couldn’t equalize” He continued.

The victory lifted Hearts of Oak to the 12th  on the league table with two games to go.
