Leicester City winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says they are aiming to begin their qualifying games with a win against Angola.
The Black Stars will host the Angola in their Group F opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Thursday, September 5 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Speaking to the media after their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon, the Black Stars winger said,
“It’s just another game and we just go with full energy. As we always have the support we are ready to also give all for the nation.”
“We’re just going to give all and take a win. I just want to say we need the support. We are ready and we are going to give all for the nation to get the three points,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars have left Accra for Kumasi on Tuesday morning. The team will train at the Baba Yara Stadium later this afternoon and on Wednesday.
Ghana will be looking forward to a strong start in this campaign and make a statement to rest of Africa as they seek for a 5th AFCON title since 1982.
