Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah wants to play a pivotal role and leave a mark in the UEFA Europa League after his debut game for French side Olympique Lyon.
The winger had a great game for Lyon, playing an important role in his team’s 2-0 victory over Olympiacos Piraeus last week.
Nuamah was a constant threat on the flanks, using his pace and creativity to trouble the Greek side’s defence throughout the match.
The former Nordjaelland star started and lasted 81 minutes as his outfit cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points in the game. Nuamah contributed significantly in the game for his side.
“A good start to kick off our Europa League journey. First taste of Europa League and a win to round up a great team performance. Hungry for more” he wrote on Instagram.
Nuamah is expected to be recalled to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming international break in October.
Ghana will face Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan in a crucial encounter as the Black Stars continue their campaign to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
