John Paintsil FC have once again underlined their dominance in the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Division Two League after maintaining top spot at the end of the first round of the competition. The achievement follows a hard-fought 2-1 away victory over Madina Republicans on Saturday, which consolidated their place at the summit of the table.
The result sees the club equal their own record from last season, when they also finished the first round at the top before going on to clinch the league title. Under the guidance of Ghana football legend and current Black Stars deputy coach John Paintsil, the team has shown remarkable consistency and resilience.

This season, John Paintsil FC have led the standings from the opening matchday through to the conclusion of the first round, demonstrating their intent to defend the title in Zone 5 of the GARFA Division Two League. Their disciplined approach and tactical organization have been key to their sustained run at the top.
The feat justifies the club’s performance in the league last season, underscoring the fact that the team is properly organised and disciplined with a high level of winning mentality.

After 15 matches, the side sits comfortably in first place with 30 points, having recorded eight wins, three draws, and three defeats. The impressive tally reflects a balanced team effort, combining defensive solidity with attacking efficiency, scoring 21 goals and conceding 13, the lowest number of goals in the zone after the first round.
With the second round of the league set to resume, John Paintsil FC will be looking to build on their strong foundation as they pursue back-to-back league titles and further cement their status as one of the standout teams in the Greater Accra Division Two League.
