Ghanaian Forward Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer Bags Brace in Hamburg Win

Ghanaian forward Ranford Yeboah Konigsdorffer was the hero as Hamburger SV secured a thrilling 3–2 victory over Union Berlin in an entertaining Bundesliga encounter.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 28th minute from the penalty spot, putting Hamburg under early pressure.

However, Konigsdorffer responded brilliantly seven minutes later, finishing calmly to restore parity and swing momentum back in Hamburg’s favour.

Hamburg went ahead shortly after the break when Capaldo made it 2–1, but Union Berlin continued to push for an equaliser. With the game delicately poised, Konigsdorffer struck again in the 82nd minute, grabbing his second goal of the night to extend Hamburg’s lead.

Union Berlin pulled one back late on through Andre Ilic in the 89th minute, setting up a tense finish, but Hamburg held firm to claim all three points on the road.

Konigsdorffer featured for 87 minutes and was instrumental throughout the contest. The 24-year-old has now made 21 appearances in 22 league matches this season, starting 17 games and scoring four goals so far, underlining his growing importance to the Hamburg attack.
