“We were very wasteful” — Dramani frustrated after Hearts of Oak draw

Didi Dramani has expressed frustration over his side’s lack of clinical finishing following Hearts of Oak’s 2-2 draw against Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians endured a difficult start at the Accra Sports Stadium, going 2-0 down at halftime before mounting a spirited comeback to salvage a point.

Despite the fightback, Dramani was left disappointed, pointing to poor decision-making and missed opportunities as the key reasons his team failed to secure all three points.

“I think that it was an open game with so many scoring opportunities and so many chances, but once again we were very wasteful,” he said.

“Before their goals we created more chances. Poor decisions in very key moments… I think that there’s still a lot to improve.”

The result extends Hearts of Oak’s winless run at home to five matches, a trend that continues to worry the head coach.

Dramani insists the focus now must be on improving the team’s attacking efficiency as they look to turn performances into victories in the coming games.
