Otto Addo Reportedly Named To FIFA Technical Study Group For 2026 World Cup

Former Ghana head coach Otto Addo has reportedly been selected to serve on FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — a prestigious panel tasked with analysing tactical trends, match statistics, set-piece innovations and overall team performances throughout the tournament.

The Technical Study Group also plays a key role in determining several individual awards at the Mundial, including the Golden Ball, Golden Boot and other top performance recognitions.

FIFA traditionally appoints experienced coaches, football experts and former players to the panel, making Otto Addo’s reported inclusion another significant recognition of his growing reputation in world football.

Otto, who guided Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, is highly respected for his tactical insight, player development expertise and deep understanding of the modern game. His expected appointment is seen as a major achievement for both Ghanaian and African football representation on the global stage.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
