Kyran Amankwa Explains Why He Chose Ghana Over The United State

FK Pirmasens winger Kyran Amankwa has opened up on why he feels more connected to Ghana than the United States when it comes to international football.

Speaking exclusively to Original FM, the US-born teenager said the passion and emotional attachment Africans have for football played a major role in shaping his decision.

According to the youngster, football means much more to supporters in Ghana and across Africa, something he deeply admires.

“I chose Ghana because I think the United States is one of the biggest countries when it comes to football, and they are passionate just like Africa,” he told Original FM.

“But not only Ghana — the passion Africans have for football is on another level, and I think that’s the biggest thing for me: the fans and the passion.”

The winger told Original FM that Ghana’s football atmosphere is unique and says he has always felt emotionally attached to the country through the sport.

He also revealed that making his parents proud remains one of the biggest motivations in his career.

The promising youngster currently plays for FK Pirmasens and hopes to continue progressing in Europe while chasing his dream of representing Ghana at the highest level.
