Asamoah Gyan has officially been unveiled as an ambassador for Ghana’s national teams and Colts football by the Ghana Football Association during a colourful ceremony in Accra.
The investiture ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Pelican Hotel and marked a new chapter for Ghana’s all-time leading goalscorer, who is expected to play a key role in promoting national team activities and grassroots football development.
The former Black Stars captain will be involved in fan engagement campaigns, corporate partnership initiatives and programmes aimed at strengthening support for Ghana football while also championing youth development.
Several football personalities and dignitaries attended the event, including veteran coach J. E. Sarpong and former Black Stars players Stephen Appiah, Prince Tagoe, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Tony Baffoe.
