Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has challenged his players to embrace the opportunity to create a lasting legacy for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking during a team meeting, the Portuguese tactician reminded the squad that they are carrying the hopes of millions of Ghanaians and have a chance to write their names into the country’s football history.
“We are here together to make history for Ghana. Remember our responsibility,” Queiroz told the players.
The veteran coach stressed that every member of the squad has a role to play in Ghana’s World Cup journey, urging them to remain focused and committed as preparations continue.
Queiroz also reflected on the achievements of previous Black Stars generations, encouraging the current team to produce moments that future footballers will look up to.
Ghana will compete in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia as they seek to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since their historic quarter-final appearance in 2010.
