Ghanaian winger Henry Addo has completed a move to Portuguese side Tondela, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.
The 23-year-old joins the Liga Portugal 2 outfit from Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv, bringing experience from several European leagues. Addo spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Serbian side OFK Beograd before returning to Maccabi at the end of the campaign.
Addo originally moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv from Slovakian club MSK Zilina in February 2024. During his time in Israel, he was part of a successful Maccabi side that won the Israeli championship in consecutive seasons, 2023/24 and 2024/25, while also lifting the Israel Super Cup in 2024/25.
The left winger, who is right-footed, now returns to Portugal for a fresh chapter in his career. His pace and ability to operate from the left side of attack will provide Tondela with another option as they compete in the Portuguese second tier.
The move, completed on August 19, 2026, represents another opportunity for Addo to establish himself and regain regular playing time as he continues his development in European football.
