Panama forward Ismael Diaz is confident his country can become one of the surprise packages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The experienced striker says belief within the squad has never been higher as Panama prepare for a challenging group-stage campaign against Ghana, England and Croatia.
“I’m completely sure, and I speak for everyone on the team, that we’re going to do great things, God willing, in this World Cup,” Diaz stated.
The former World Cup participant has emerged as one of the leaders within the Panamanian camp, helping guide a squad eager to make its mark on the global stage.
With preparations nearing completion, Diaz believes Panama possess the quality, unity and determination needed to compete against any opponent and potentially achieve their best-ever World Cup finish.
