Kaasim Mingle Eye Crucial Kotoko Victory to Escape Relegation

Swedru All Blacks face a huge survival test on the final day of the Ghana Premier League season as they travel to take on Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

The newly promoted side head into the Week 34 encounter knowing victory could be enough to secure their place in the top flight for another season.

All Blacks currently sit 13th on the league table with 42 points, but the relegation battle remains extremely tight with several clubs still fighting to avoid the drop heading into the final round of matches.

Heart of Lions and Young Apostles FC are level on points behind them, while Nations FC remain close to the danger zone with 41 points.

Ahead of the crucial clash, coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has expressed confidence in his side’s ability to upset Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

“We must beat Asante Kotoko to survive,” he said in an interview with Max FM.

“Kotoko have nothing to lose, but we are highly motivated and determined for this game. I will give my best on the day, and I believe my players will show great character and determination on Sunday,” he added.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to provide a stern challenge despite having little at stake compared to their opponents.

Sunday’s decisive fixture is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
