England manager Thomas Tuchel has highlighted Ghana’s pace and physicality as major threats ahead of Tuesday’s crucial FIFA World Cup Group L encounter, praising the tactical approach implemented by Black Stars coach Carlos Quiroz.
The Three Lions boss acknowledged that Ghana possess a dangerous style of play that can punish opponents, particularly in transition, and warned his players against underestimating the four-time African champions.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated showdown, Tuchel pointed to the Black Stars ability to counterattack quickly and effectively, even when they are not dominating possession.
“Ghana’s counterattack is a threat because they play with a lot of physicality and speed. They don’t mind not having much of the ball, and they are not shy to use long balls,” Tuchel said.
