Former Hearts of Oak forward Kwadwo Obeng Junior is on the verge of joining Heart of Lions on a free transfer.
The 25 year-old forward has been without a club since departing Hearts in January 2024, missed the entire second part of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
According to Joy Sports, the forward has signed a two-year contract with Heart of Lions pending official announcement.
Heart of Lions aims to strengthen their attacking options with Obeng’s arrival.
The team narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the previous season after a dramatic 2-2 away at Berekum Chelsea and hopes to avoid another struggle at the bottom of the league table.
Obeng, previously enjoyed success with Hearts of Oak, securing the 2020/21 Premier League title and two FA Cup victories.
